Iran, China discuss promotion of HR cooperation
IRAN  - Seyed Majid Tafreshi, Deputy for International Affairs at Iran's High Council for Human Rights held a meeting with Chinese ambassador to Tehran Chang Hua on Monday evening.

The two officials discussed promotion of judicial as well as human rights cooperation especially in the international arena.

The China's efforts in protecting the rights of its citizen especially millions of Muslims in Xinjiang were noticed and appreciated in this meeting.

The systematic efforts of some western countries to abuse human rights as a political tool against China and the opportunities at the next meeting of United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva were also explored.

The situation of Xinjiang's Muslims has been very controversial, western media claims that the Muslims are highly abused and their rights are constantly violated while they fail to present any reliable evidence. Chinese officials have repeatedly dismissed the claims.
