Assassination of Gen. Solaymani, grave violation of Int. law
IRAN  - Considering the international law principles, the assassination of General Solaymani and people who accompanied him is in contradiction with the UN Charter, violates the prohibition of use of force and a peremptory norm of the international law. From the international criminal law perspective, the material aspect of the crimes aggression and terrorism along with the vivid violation of international peace have taken place, all of which entail the international responsibility of the US government.

Trump's order and the act of the US army are against the international law from several aspects:

Firstly, the assassination of a country's official who is on an official trip to another country by a third party: considering the article 8 of the ICC statute, the US act is on the one hand a violation of Iraq's territorial integrity and sovereignty and on the other hand it is an aggression against Iran's sovereignty which is considered as the crime of aggression, an international crime, based on the UN General Assembly's resolution 3314.

Secondly, the use of heavy weapons against a country's official in another country while the hosting country was aware of his presence is an example of use of force which is the violation of a peremptory norm in international law according to the UN Charter.

Thirdly, the US act is an example of international terrorism since the US government has used violence and terror against an official unlawfully which is considered as the material element of international terrorism and has led to a murder. This crime entails international responsibility of the US government and international criminal responsibility of Trump.

Fourthly, the US terrorist act is a vivid violation of the international peace which is against the spirit of the UN Charter. According to the international law, a lawsuit could be filed against the US government in the ICJ and also Trump and other officials of the US Department of Defense could be sued due to the commission of terrorism and aggression in domestic courts.
