IRAN
- Iran's Judiciary Chief Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi stressed that human rights are an opportunity for Iran not a threat; as "the best basis to defend the rights of human beings is available in the Islamic values."
Referring to the history of US crimes against humanity, Rayeesi added that a long list of lawsuits could be filed against "those who claim to be the defenders of human rights, especially the US."
"An independent and fair court could determine who is to be blamed for the crimes in Yemen, Palestine and many other parts of the world," he said in the High Council for Human Rights meeting on Sunday.
Iran's Judiciary Chief further urged the independent lawyers as well as human rights activists and organizations to sue the main violators and abusers of human rights and "those who were involved in the creation of ISIS."
