Judiciary’s background is bright, no one is biased: Larijani

Judiciary’s background is bright, no one is biased: Larijani
IRAN  - The Judiciary has developed significantly in different aspects during the four past decades and justice has been served irrespective of individuals’ positions seriously so far, the HCHR secretary said in an interview with Tasnim News Agency.

In response to the question regarding the allegations made against the Judiciary and also against certain individuals close to Ayatollah Amoli, Larijani said: "I should mention that during each period of all the previous heads of the judiciary, great achievements were made and the same occurred with respect to the period when Ayatollah Amoli held the seat. For instance, modern technologies were applied by the judiciary and that's why we are ahead of the executive body in this regard. Also, alternative punishments were of the important issues which began during this period and many convicts are made to provide services in different fields instead of doing time in prison".

With regard to dealing with financially corrupt persons, the judiciary does not condone anyone's wrongdoings due to their position. During Ayatollah Amoli's period many powerful financial convicts were put into jail or were executed. At present, Mr. Raeesi is continuing this process solemnly and anyone who has committed such crimes will be punished. Also, should anyone be found not guilty, they will be acquitted of the accusations against them, he added.
