Larijani: HCHR never left false human rights accusations unanswered

Larijani: HCHR never left false human rights accusations unanswered
IRAN  - Chief of the Iranian Judiciary's Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani in his opening speech on the Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day stressed that High Council for Human Rights has “a record in responding” to the international community on their human rights “false” reports about Iran.

The Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day was marked in Tehran on Wednesday at a ceremony attended by Iranian Judiciary Chief Raeisi, Foreign Minister Zarif and a number of foreign ambassadors in the country where the winners of the 5th edition of Islamic Human Rights Award were named.

Larijani also mentioned that the Islamic human rights prizes are awarded to three groups of human rights advocates including those who try to protect oppressed Muslims around the world, individuals who ensure human rights of victims of Islamophobia and discrimination and human rights advocates who preach Islamic human rights based on the Islamic jurisprudence.

What matters the most with respect to the Islamic human rights is the Islamic thoughts which do not exist in the roots of western human rights since the latter has been formed on merely secular thoughts reflecting only the western views on the issue of human rights, he added.
