Anti-Iranian resolutions roots in animosity against IR; Larijani

Anti-Iranian resolutions roots in animosity against IR; Larijani
IRAN  - Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights stressed the anti-Iranian resolutions roots in western animosity against Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a meeting with local judiciary officials, Larijani noted: "We aren't worried about the resolutions issued against us; it upsets us as Iran has a better record and practice than countries in the region and in the world, but no one pays attention to their records and they criticize us with their lame excuses."

"Another point which is annoying is that western countries back up terrorist groups such as ISIS, MKO and PJAK under the pretext of safeguarding human rights. And, what we cannot accept is that these groups even issue fatwas, he added."

Larijani added that issuing resolutions against Iran will be continued because "deep enmity towards us is permanent."
"We always respond to the criticisms in international bodies and the UN and we even go on the attack against some countries like the US."

"We do not find responding to criticisms sufficient." Iran's human right chief noted. "Actually, one of the effective measures taken by the UN has been creating UPR mechanism which causes all countries' activities to be reviewed."
He added that Iran has been successful to use this mechanism to attack US human rights that "the US president was blamed for that in the congress."
