IAEA: Iran complying with JCPOA commitments

IAEA: Iran complying with JCPOA commitments
World  -  Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano in a statement announced that Iran has complied with its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)

'Iran is implementing its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. It is essential that Iran continues to fully implement those commitments,' the statement reads addressing a meeting of IAEA Board of Governors.

'The Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement. Evaluations regarding the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities in Iran continue.'

Meanwhile, Iran's envoy to Vienna-based international bodies Kazem Gharib Abadi said based on the report, the IAEA has continued monitoring and verifying Iran commitments under the nuclear deal since the implementation of the JCPOA.

IAEA has also been able to investigate verification of Iran's non-diversion of nuclear materials in Iranian installations.

According to the report, IAEA has faced no problem in monitoring and access process, he added.

The report also deals with Iran's plan to develop nuclear propulsion systems, Gharib Abadi reiterated.

Earlier the International Atomic Energy Agency in its 12th periodical report once again verified Iran's adherence to its nuclear deal with world powers known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

After Washington's May 8 exit from the historic Iran Deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the US gave 90 to 180 wind-down period to other countries before it starts re-imposing oil sanctions on Tehran on November 4.

Part of the US illegitimate sanctions were imposed on Iran on August 9.

Trump also said he would reinstate the US nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose "the highest level" of economic bans on the Islamic Republic.
