Reports presented on Iran’s HR law incompatible with reality

Reports presented on Iran’s HR law incompatible with reality
IRAN  - Unfortunately, the report on Iran’s human rights is not consistent with facts, representative of Belarus at UNHRC’s summit underlined.

The Belarusian representative at the Human Rights Council's meeting said that human rights issues should be seen in a non-selective and impartial and professional manner and should not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.

He added that the new report on Iran, similar to previous ones, is not objective nor is it real. "Some are looking for political pressure through human rights. We are against appointment of a new Special Rapporteur for Iran."

The Belarusian representative also stated that unfortunately, the report on human rights in Iran, as in the past, is not consistent with reality.

The thirty-seventh session of the UN Human Rights Council was launched on Monday, February 26, 2018, in Geneva, Switzerland, and will wrap up on March 23, 2018.
