French Police attacked protesters in Paris with tear gas

French Police attacked protesters in Paris with tear gas
World  - Clashes have broken out between French security officers and a group of protesters, who were out on the streets in Paris on Sunday to censure the death of a young black man in police custody.

Police fired tear gas to disperse the protesters chanting "justice" at the Gare du Nord station in the French capital, where the black man was arrested last month, World News reported.

Police deployed tear gas against the protesters, who were chanting «justice» as they marched through the train station. Eventually the police pushed the demonstrators outside of the building where the protest continued.

Massar D., whose full name has not been revealed for legal reasons, died after spending a week in a coma. He sustained a heart attack, reportedly during an arrest by police at the Gare du Nord.

The protest organisers announced in a statement that Massar D. is the latest in a long list of non-white men who have died at the hands of the French police.
