HR chief hailed Iran's victory over ISIL

HR chief hailed Iran's victory over ISIL
World  - ISIS was a very complicated and dangerous project and its defeat was a great victory by Iran, said Mohammad Javad Larijani, Head of Iran's High Council for Human Rights in an interview with local media.

"The more you consider the enormous dimensions of the ISIS project, the more you grasp how great Iran's triumph over this group has been."

Warning over the post-ISIS phase plots by the enemies, Larijani added: " Since Iran's enemies have failed in their project, they are preparing several other plans such as Iraqi Kurdistan's independence, Hariri's resignation and the violent coup d'état in Saudi Arabia all of which convey the frustration and chaos among the U.S and Zionists' allies."

Iran declared the end of Islamic State last November, as the Iraqi and Syrian armies, backed by popular forces and Iranian military advisors, managed to flush ISIL militants out of their last strongholds in both countries.

Refereeing to the measures taken against Iran by the west, larijani told that the sanctions against Iran have been resumed and aggravated.

"As a matter of fact, they were never lifted but were eased temporarily at vast expenses to Iran. One of the negative results of the JCPOA was that Iran's enemies have built the belief that sanctions made Iran surrender and that's why they are trying to renew the same process."
