Trump extends US sanctions against Iran
IRAN  -  The US President Donald Trump has extended sanctions against Iran by renewing the 38-year-old National Emergency with respect to Iran.

The issue was stated in the written notice sent on Monday November 06 to the US Congress, the press service of the White House reported.

As noted in the document, the state of emergency declared by Executive order 12170 with respect to Iran has been renewed for one year.

Order No. 12170 about the anti-Iranian sanctions was signed in November 1979 the then US President Jimmy Carter in response the takeover of the US embassy, known as the 'den of espionage' in Tehran 38 years ago.

Our relations with Iran have not yet normalized, and the process of implementing the agreements with Iran, dated January 19, 1981, is ongoing, said Trump after he renewed for one year the national emergency with respect to Iran declared in Executive Order 12170.
